Has the Internet cause more harm than good?

As technology improves better and better, new stuff are created. The Internet is one of them. What is Internet? Internet is a global network which connects million of computer. More than 100 countries are linked into exchanges of data, news and opinions.Internet is also so convinence that most of people these days are using it for homeworks for student, searching information on web, writing reports for adults, chatting online and many more. Some people agreed that Internet has cause harm but some people disagree that Internet has cause harm but I agreed with both.

For agreed, I think Internet cause harm than good because people has use Internet for the wrong purposes. Some people might argue that the Internet causes harm as students start to lose concentration when they get too obsessed with their Internet games and sometimes, online chats. However, the Internet is not harmful in itself – students should have the self-discipline to stop using it, when they have to.

For disagree,The Internet helps students to find out more about the subjects that they are taking or are going to take. It helps them clarify things that they are unsure of. The Internet is a search engine that helps students to widen their general knowledge.

Students can also conserve the environment by emailing their friends instead of writing letters. What’s more, communication with their pen pals is faster through emails. Exams can also be submitted through the Internet and that saves many trees too. Imagine one piece of paper is sacrificing one tree. I cannot imagine the number of trees disappearing from Singapore each day.

In conclusion, the Internet is not as bad as it seems to be. The blame should not be put on the Internet and it is the people who use it. Some irresponsible people make use of it to cheat young girls like us through chat rooms or creating pornography websites. However, these stuffs can be controlled and the Internet has more benefits than harm.
