Which career I want to pursue? A teacher, a veterinarian, accountant, police officer or doctor? Choosing a job is not that easy, but if we have a dream, it will be much easier. It is because if we have a dream to pursue, we will have a direction to work towards and an aim to achieve.
As for me, I would like to be an Events Manager in a hotel as partially from my own interest in organizing parties and birthdays.Partially a bit of influence from David Tutera, who is a tv host who is very professional with designing parties and events.
In order to qualify for this job, I will have to be well presented with excellent communication skills, high levels of self-motivation,a minimum Diploma qualification and be goal-driven, self-motivated with good negotiation skills and minimum two years of relevant catering skills experience, strong organizational and coordination skills. Singapore Flyer
How has the Singapore Flyer provide us with an enriching lesson outside the classroom? In my point of view, I expect the ride to be scarier but to my surprise, it was not scary at all. In fact, the flight was as smooth as I have ever thought of. The flyer itself is very smooth and steady unlike of what we have expected. I felt excited before the flight as I expected something that is more thrilling rather than just a slow and steady manner. However, the flight is still an enriching one.
When the capsule went higher and higher, Lots of landmarks will try to appear such as Esplanade, Marina Golf Course, Singapore River, Floating Stadium, The Fullerton and many more. I think the venue that they choose to set up the Singapore Flyer is a good choice as the surroundings around the Flyer is full of centre attractions, such as, the F1 racing circuit, the integrated resorts and more.
The experience on the Singapore Flyer was really a memorable day. This is also the first time I have been on the observation wheel. I also think that we should apply what we learn in class in the capsule of the observation. This way we can gain more knowledge.
In my opinion, I think that the capsule was really big and I did not expect the capsule to have an air-conditioner. We get to gather and play around but at the same time we do our assignments as well and this shows that we not only play hard, but do our assignments “hard” as well. Teamwork is also important and we must apply this skill most of the time. Another way of presenting teamwork is "Togther Everyone Achieve More".The trip itself is worth going as this trip enriched us with learning new concepts. This trip also let us blends in with our own classmates as we do our assignments with each other and this does not leave any of us out. If we really got to learn, it is best to learn as a whole rather than an individual. I wish that the school can organised more of outing trips.

Chinese New Year
Have you wondered why children and adults get so happy and excited when Chinese New Year is just round the corner? Chinese New Year is a happy occasion as it creates a better bonding for our relatives, friends and even us. It is because during Chinese New Year, it is the time for us to visit our relatives and friends. Chinese New Year has a total of 15 days.I think Chinese New Year is a day for relatives to finally meet together due to their work.
Chinese New Year have some customs such as when a person goes to another person’s house, firstly, the guests will need to wish the relative or friend “Happy New Year.” If there are unmarried people or kids, they will get red packet when they greet their elders. They will also hold oranges in both hands and hand it over to the elders. This is a form of respect, and whenever elders that will be giving the red packet will be giving some form of blessings to the person who gets the red packets. Some businessman will also hire lion troupes to their companies so as to let their companies “prosper” their business in time to come as they think that the lions are animals that will bring them prosperity and wealthy.
The Chinese have also a few beliefs such as on the first day of Chinese New Year, married women are not allowed to return to their parents’ place. They can only do so on the second day. On the seventh day, the Chinese will celebrate “Ren Ri” which means everyone’s birthday. On that day, they will also “Lao Yu Sheng” which means when they lift up the food, they will say things that will let them feel good and what they wants to achieve for the new year. During Chinese New Year, the Chinese also believes in bad luck. They are not allowed to say things such as “dying” or “breaking”. It is because it means bad luck and they believe bad luck will befall upon them.
People with stress would really think that Chinese New Year is just as same as what we do everyday. They do not believe in the custom and think they have really more important things to do. They would also think its a child play in celebrating this day.
Chinese New year is a day when we can really relax and reflect at the same time. Chinese New Year last for fifteen days and is only once a year so we should treasure the time spent together. Therefore, I think we should come together and celebrate this joyous day. Life is short and we don not know when is our time.So we should treasure this day.

Your Views on Chong Boon Rules
Have you wondered why there are school rules in school? What is their importance and why we should abide to it day by day? Talking about rules, Chong Boon rules are quite reasonable. It is because if a school does not have the rules required, the school will be in a disaster. A school has hundreds of people, if all of us break the rules, the life of the school cannot be carried on. The school rules are for us to follow and not break. We have to do things in a clearer mind and not do things in a messy manner. Thus, I feel that having school rules is not a problem.
Firstly, Chong Boon School rules are reasonable as school is a place for us to learn and not break rules. Chong Boon has rules such as truancy, late coming, behaviour, attire or appearance and more. They are rules that are important as if a person is late or play truant all the time, the student will be taking up the classmates’ time and neglecting his or her own studies. Furthermore, if a student carries behaviour or attitude problem all the time or dressing in an ugly manner, the person is humiliating his or herself and embarrassing the school. Thus, carrying out necessary punishment is also a good way for us to learn.
On the other hand, school rules are like guidelines for teachers and students on what is right and what is wrong. Teacher are here to pass down their knowledge and not wasting time scolding us for our behavior. We have to keep in mind of how the teachers had helped us in education and we should repay them by studying well and listening in class attentively or whenever they talk to us.
Some students do think " The more school rules I break, the more people would know me." This is some thoughts of the students. Furthermore, they do think that breaking school rules is a lot more easier than abiding the school rules.
Therefore, I think that we should abide the school rules as it is a form of respect to the school. For example: If you are in a public place and you want people to respect you, all you have to do is abide the rules. If you break the rules how would people look at you and further respect you as you do not respect them.So my view on the school rules is that it is reasonable.
